This highly acclaimed course features the consumers and producers of appellate advocacy in the federal courts. It is designed as an introduction to appellate advocacy, featuring practical advice from the experts. Judges discuss their perspectives and point out pitfalls and common mistakes attorneys make. Experienced lawyers share some of their tactics for successful brief writing and oral argument.  Legal ethics issues relating to appellate advocacy also are discussed.
